Asia Pac Risk Mgt, Singapore

[19 May 06] Stephen has been invited to address Visa International's 2006 Asia Pacific Risk Management Conference in Singapore, on June 29.

The conference theme is "Fighting Fraud, Enhancing Trust in card payments". Some 150 senior risk managers and 50 law enforcement personnel are expected to participate. Visa says: "The objective of the conference is to review the latest fraud trends and cases, highlight the regional initiatives and best practices to counter these threats, and to share new products and technology available to further secure the payment system."

Stephen's topic is Two Factor Authentication, in which he will compare and contrast the options available today. Lockstep believes that authentication is at a "tipping point". With mutual authentication looming as a critical driver, the authentication industry is due for a major shakeout.
